Alexandra MossAlexandra Moss is a documentary filmmaker and writer based in New York. Most recently, she has worked at HBO Documentary Films, where she was a co-producer of the recent series, The Weight of the Nation, which premiered in May 2012, and a co-author of the companion book, published by St. Martin’s Press. Previously, she was an associate producer of HBO’s Emmy-nominated The Alzheimer’s Project: Momentum in Science. She was also a contributing writer to the film’s companion book.

 

Before entering the world of documentary film, she was the managing editor of Schmap, a digital destination guide start-up company based in Beijing. While living in China, she also co-wrote a travel guide to the city of Hangzhou, following up on her experience editing the 2005 edition of Let’s Go: Spain and Portugal. She is a graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in literature.
